Summer Project

My summer project was making an alphabets, finding fonts & typography of the things that I like. At the beginning of the summer, I did some leaf printing & drawings from these.

This alphabet was made out of cut-out letters from the magazines, catalogues & newspapers. Then I did a drawing of it.

This is the page of the letter R. It is covered in things I like. It is full of detail and colour.

This page shows all the pictures that are starting with the letter A. My favourite is Alice in Wonderland because my cousin has got a baby daughter called Alice now.

This is another page that shows all the words that starts with the letter J. My favourite is Jane Parry because she’s so nice to me at Menai College.

Here is another page that shows all the words beginning with the letter B. My favourite is Beyonce Knowles-Carter because she is my favourite female singer.

I created this typography by using the wooden letters & doing a pencil rubbing of them. I love this because it always make me think of people searching for clues.

Here is my cookie-cutter alphabet, that I used as a shape template from paper letters that I cut out.

My Food Picture Stories Starring: All Of My Sweet Hearted Characters. Above, this is the cover of the book covered in the names of all the characters.

I create these by typing the stories on my laptop & stick them in the middle of the pages, which I have covered with pictures of the character’s favourite food from images found on the internet and collaged together in Word.

Here are other 2 pictures of my characters that are in my book. My favourite is Alys’ Summer-Time Teddy Bear Picnic Lunch Feast because it’s full of beautiful imagination & so much details in it.

I did these pictures by using plant leaves for printing, painting on them & flatting them in my book & after the paint dried, I did a drawing of it on the other side of the page. I chose the colours because they always make me think of fire & ice. The colours that make me think of those are red, yellow, orange, purple, blue & indigo.

This is a picture of my ice cream that I was eating in Caernarfon after I went riding my bike with my father.
