Teulu Family

Teulu ydyd y pobol sydd yn perthyn i chdi ac yn caru chdi ac yn cadw chdi’n saff. Yn y prosiect yma dw i’n neud lluniau o fi pan roeddwn i’n iengaf ac yn cael hwyl. Dw i’n defnyddio hen ffotos, dwi’n cychwyn efo pensil, ar ol dw i di neud y pensil dwi’n dros e fe efo beiro du ac wedyn dwi’n lliwio fo fewn efo pensiliau lliw a ffelt tipiau lliwgar. Yn y llun yma dwi’n babi newydd sbon a dwi’n eistedded ar gliniau Mam a Taid yn eistedd drws nesaf i ni. Dwi’n hollol hapus yn y llun.

The people who belong to you and love you and keep you safe are a family. In this project I make pictures of myself when I was young and having fun. I use old photos, I start with a pencil, after I’ve done the pencil I’m over it with a black pen and then I color it in with colored pencils and colorful tip felt. In this picture I’m a brand new baby and I’m sitting on Mum and Grandfather’s knees sitting next to us. I’m totally happy in the picture.

Dwi’n mwynhau gwneud lluniau o teulu, mae nhw y holl byd i fi. Dros y blynyddoedd rydym wedi cael anturiaethau anhygoel ac mae teulu fi yn wneud i fi wenu gymaint.

I enjoy making pictures of family, they are all the world to me. over the years we have had amazing adventures and my family makes me smile so much.

Yn y project yma, bydd y lluniau dwi’n wneud yn cael eu defnyddio mewn llyfr lliwio i blant.

In this project, the drawings I make will be used in a coluring book for children.

Dwi wedi ysgrifennu ar ddarn o bapur gwyn yn son amdan beth dwi’n wneud a beth sydd yn digwydd yn y hen lluniau o fy mhlentyndod hapus gyda pawb.

I have writen on a piece of white paper about what I am doing and what is happening in the old photographs.

Yn y llun yma, dwi efo fy nghefnderod, Hollie Patterson a Christine Bone, yn ystod y gwyliau haf a rydym yn gwisgo dillad nofio, het haul a crysau t, a mae nhw’n gafael fi yn eu breichiau. Mae’r ddwy ohono nhw’n gwenu, ond dwi’n pwdu yn y canol.

In this drawing, I am with my cousns during the summer holidays and we are wearing swimming costumes and sun hats. The two of them are smiling and I am sulking in the middle.

Here is adrawing from a photograph of my aunty, uncle and cousins (when they were young) with thier Grandmother. They are wearing Korean clothes and the photograph was taken when they lived in Seoul Korea.

In a visit to the college library I found this picture in a book. “My Parents” 1977 is an oil paintng by David Hockney, it reminds me of phothraphs of myself as a baby being held in the arms of my great grandmother. The painting is related to my project on family photographs. The more I look at the painting, the more I think about my parents and grand parents.

This a a photograph of a page from my reflective journal about David Hokney’s “My Parents” which I saw when I went to visit Salt Mills in Shipley. This is painting is modern art, the subject is about the artisit’s mother and father, it reminds me of when my parents held me as a baby in their arms.

Here is a photograph of a page in my reflective journal about Greyson Perry’s tapestry “The Annunciation of the Virgin Deal” 2012. The subject of this painting is about an angel/ghost grandmother returning to earth and a woman taking care of her new born baby. When I was a child my parents and grandparents held me in their arms. The image of a family kitchen is full of details and bright colours. It shows how diffent each family is and the differnt things they do, I imagine stories of the characters.

Family, I have lots of memories of being with my family and feeling safe. I like the dots in this picture.

This is a Rachel Whiteread’s “Storytime” 2008 of mini plastic family dolls. It is about narative and memory.

I like special occasions when my family come together to celebrate, at weddings, birthdays and holidays. Food is always an important part of special occasions. Here is a photograph from a page in my reflective journal about Bruegel’s painting “The Peasant Wedding”.

This is a drawing I have made of a photograph of afternoon tea with my Taid and Aunty.

I am drawing tea cups like an afternoon tea with family. These are a collection of tea cups, like my memories of family members. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and the tea party with the mad hatter.

I went to the collage library and took out a pop-up Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland book.

Here is a drawing I made of a still life with a sprinkles cake, cups of tea, flowers. I love the paterns, leaves, flowers and elephants. I like the way the things in the picture stand out with detail.

This is a drawing I did of still life of a strawberry tea.

I love the details in these drawings that I have made of still lives of tea parties and here is a list of all the things I like about details and why they make me happy. They remind me of happy moments and they fill up the page.

This Respect Poster by George Bates makes me think of Arethra Franklin queen of soul. Her music makes me think of family and being safe and happy and in my imagination I think of stories. I like the 3D style of this picture because it stands out, I would like to do more 3D The Respect Poster to me is about being nice, gentle and talking in a freindly voice.

The surf picture reminds me of my experience surfing. The words are all connecting, I like words, they mean everything to me, I can always feel them in my blood.

Here I am in collage drawing my stilll lifes of tea and cakes on to a big board. I have drawn them in pencil and water colour paint. The board with my pictures will be part of my exhibition at collage.

This picture of a tree full of animals, is like my imaginary characters, all doing something, roller skating, dancing, parties.

Gaston Caba cartoon figures are active, like my imaginary characters, full of stars, rainbows and smiles.

Here I am with two Minnie Mouse ears. When I was young I liked dressing up because it was fun and it made me smile.
