Still Life, Food & Feasts

I love making pictures of food, it makes me happy thinking about my characters having a meal to celerbrate an event or part of a special occasion. I have many imaginary characters, they all have names and ages and brothers and sisters and I have listed all thier favourite food and past times.

This was on my birthday, celebrating with little cup cakes and every body singing happy birthday to me. I was really happy and I smiled so hard my cheeks began to hurt. Everybody was even happier.

I am on the computer writing about the food my imaginary characters are eating. I was having fun making this. I went on a website to create the book, I put in my picture I drew of food with felt tips and coloured pencils, then I wrote the plot of the story and then went the book came in the post I was really happy with it.

I have drawn a still life of fruit using chalk pastels, but I usually use felt tips and I felt a little nervous while I was doing this, but then I had fun drawing it. I love this picture because its really colourful like African leopards and the coloured house in Cape Town Africa. Its not a blow of fruit its because all the fruit are flying everywhere like rainbow.

I do lots of drawing of food because its colourful and it is often part of a celebration such as wedding , birthdays, Halloween and Christmas parties and its very nutritious.

Here is a picture of a decorated food face that I made up all by myself. I made this by using green and purple grapes, smarties, whipped cream , strawberries and plain skinned orange slices. I love this plate because it so cute and colourful and it reminds me of when I was at primary school with all of my friends.

I didn’t want to eat the face because it was too nice after lunch but the whipped cream was beginning to drip and melt.

I was inspired by Giuseppe Archimboldo. I see a picture of a face made our of fruit. The tile of this art work is fruit basket. It was produced in the year 1590. The picture is made of oil on panel, The art work is at French and Company Museum. I my opinion the art work fits into modern art. The subject tell me that the fruit basket is not really a face but only when it is upside down. I love the art work because it makes me think of young children playing with building blocks.

Here are eight decorated polka doted ice cream cups and spoons staring my eight characters. I and this by buy the cups, printing out the food, actives and mane pictures, cutting them out glueing the up-ways and straight. I love these cup because I made them up myself, and I made them to look like pop-up books.
